Hat Making Event!

Join us for a Sunday afternoon of hat making in preparation for our Gems and Jockeys event at Keeneland Racetrack!

Enjoy mimosas and light appetizers while bedazzling away! Fascinator bases, some embellishments, and glue guns will be supplied. Extra beads and larger appliques will be available for purchase.

Feel free to be your own hat and embelishments as well!

Tickets are $10 each.

Day One- Sunday, April 8th

Keeneland Horse Racecourse- We'll cheer on the horses at the racecourse! We'll be sitting in the Lexington Room facing the racetrack while enjoying a buffet style lunch. After the races, we'll have a cocktail party at Meg C Gallery where there will be a WJA OH/KY Member's Show. Each member is invited to display their individual jewelry pieces, designs or gemstones. After the cocktail party, an optional dinner will take place

Day Two- Monday, April 9th

Headly-Whitney Museum - We'll be listening to speaker Dr. Jeffrey Post, the curator of the National Gem and Mineral Collection at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. He will be speaking about the Smithsonian female donors over the last 200 years! This is a rare appearance by Dr. Jeffrey Post, so you don't want to miss it! A local food truck will provide lunch.
