About the Presenters
Joe Tabet has been advising entrepreneurs since 1998 and joined Melcion, Chassagne & Cie in 2002. Joe has lectured in a number of top executive training programs, in collaboration with top Business Schools and also in-house company specific programs, on the themes of Change Management, Motivation, Persuasion, Engagement, and Complex Decision Making. He splits his time between Paris and New York City where he spends a week a month.

Phyllis Bergman married the president of the 70 year-old family-owned-and-operated Mercury Ring, she had no idea that she would be running the business one day. Today, Mercury is one of the oldest and most established bridal jewelry manufacturers in the United States, with more than 1,500 accounts nationwide and strategic alliances worldwide.
She is former president of the International Women’s Jewelry Association and the first woman to be elected president to The Twenty-Four Karat Club and the Jewelers Board Of Trade where she currently serves as past chairman. In February 2007, Enterprising Women Magazine named her Entrepreneur of the Year. She is a recipient of the International Women’s Jewelry Association Manufacturer of the Year Award and a Hall OF Fame inductee. In 2010, she received the prestigious American Gem Society Circle of Distinction Triple Zero Award. She has served on the Board of Directors of The Diamond Empowerment Fund, the Plumb Club, 24 Karat Club of the City of New York, American Gem Society, Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America, Jewelers Vigilance Committee, The Diamond Development Initiative and the American ORT Federation
Anna Martin is Senior Vice President of Global Business Development at GIA (Gemological Institute of America). She is responsible for broadening and deepening GIA’s relationships with clients and stakeholders and overseeing the Institute’s global beneficiation. She served on the GIA Board of Governors for many years. Previously, Anna was Managing Director & Head, Global Client Coverage, Diamonds and Jewelry, at Standard Chartered Bank, London. At Standard Chartered, she leveraged her extensive knowledge and expertise to help build the Bank’s diamond & jewelry business in key international locations. Under her leadership, Standard Chartered became a leading bank to the international Diamond & Jewelry industry. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Anna was Senior Vice President & Regional Manager of ABN AMRO Bank, New York, for several years, heading their diamond and jewelry business for the Americas.
She was inducted into the Diamond Hall of Fame by the U.S. Diamond Industry Steering Committee. She is on the advisory board of the Women’s Jewelry Association and a past president. She serves on the boards of JCK Advisory and the Diamond Empowerment Fund. She has received numerous awards - - the “Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award” and “Excellence in Special Services” from the Women’s Jewelry Association; the “Premier Patron Award”, “Guiding Light Award”, and “Doyenne of the Year Award” from the Indian Diamond and Colorstone Association; the “Community Achievement Award” by the Jewelry Chapter of American Ort, and the “Award of Excellence” from the UJA Federation of NY. She also received the “Triple Zero Award” from the American Gem Society.
