A note from Linda:

I began my career as a jewelry designer in Boulder in the early 1970’s. At the time, I was the only woman
bench jeweler on Pearl Street. I received a BA in Industrial Product Design, from Metro, a MFA from CU
Boulder and taught University level photography. I received my GG from GIA in January of 2023. I am a
Fine Arts professional and own a custom jewelry design studio, Christine Marguerite Designs in Boulder
CO.

As a designer I wanted to know more about other women’s experiences in the field and began to write a
book titled ‘Women of Jewelry’. I interviewed 100 women in the jewelry industry, and recorded their
stories. This project took 8 years. The book will be catalogued into the Library of Congress and is in
museums, university libraries and private collections all over the world. I sold out of the first printing
and am on the second printed version of the Limited Edition 2 volume book.

This book is informational, inspirational and educational. I intend to facilitate a path for the next
generation of designers. This collection of narratives brings an awareness that is unique to women in the
jewelry space. Each woman brings her knowledge, her struggles, and her passions to the interview and
the topics range from manufacturing, gem buying, production and fabrication. Each woman brings her
voice to the pool of information. This project will continue into the future as the dynamics of the
industry are rapidly changing. Staying relevant is the key to all business success. The sale of each book
contributes to an educational grant fund for GIA, WJA, and FIT.

I am a professional speaker and presenter and am available to discuss women’s perspectives in the
jewelry industry. Thank you for your time.

Thank you,
Linda Kozloff-Turner
