Tryna Kochanek, Sr. Vice President of Field Operations

Tryna Kochanek began her career in the jewelry industry with Sterling Jewelers Inc. as an office manager in 1986 after graduating from Boise State University. She worked her way up through the organization in positions including Store Manager and District Manager in the Northwest US through 1990. In 1997, Tryna was promoted to Vice President of Regional Operations in the Mid-West. In 2000, Tryna was promoted to Sr. Vice President of Field Operations, for whom she has responsibility of all 1,400 of Sterling's jewelry stores and 175 of its Repair Shops. This includes approximately 17,000 team members in all 50 states. Sterling stores include Kay Jewelers, the number one specialty retail brand in the US, and Jared the Galleria of Jewelry, the number one destination jeweler in the US. Tryna is also a member of Sterling's Executive Committee.

Tryna currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Women's Jewelry Association, The Executive Board of the Diamond Council of America and the Board of Trustees of Big Sisters/Big Brothers of Medina/Summit County, OH where she resides with her 14-year-old son, Mitchell.
